Harrow has no public New Year's Eve fireworks. The Thames show is ticket only, £20 to £35 with a London postcode, first batch on sale now. What is open locally.
There is no public New Year’s Eve fireworks display in Harrow. The borough’s big display this year is the Harrow Fireworks and Diwali event at Byron Park on Saturday 7 November (Harrow Fireworks). Harrow Council’s events calendar lists nothing for 31 December, and neither Harrow Arts Centre nor Headstone Manor has a New Year’s Eve event on its listings; the Arts Centre’s pantomime finishes on Tuesday 29 December (Harrow Council events, Harrow Arts Centre, Headstone Manor).
For fireworks at midnight, the choice is the Mayor of London’s display on the Thames, and that needs a ticket.
The quick answer
No Harrow display on 31 December 2026. The London fireworks run from 8pm on Thursday 31 December to 12.30am, and you cannot get in without a ticket. The first batch is on sale now through Ticketmaster; a second batch follows on a date City Hall has not yet announced. Tickets cost £20 to £35 for anyone with a London postcode, which covers every Harrow address, and £40 to £55 for everyone else (London City Hall).
London fireworks: tickets and prices
City Hall’s event page sets out the rules. You can buy up to four tickets, and a larger group needs another adult to book for the rest, and to travel to the event together. You may be asked for photo ID on the night. Tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster.
| Viewing area | Price | Price with a London postcode |
|---|---|---|
| Category A: Blue, Pink and White | £55 | £35 |
| Category B: Red, Green and Orange | £40 | £20 |
A booking fee goes on top, and City Hall says prices are the same as last year. The £20 London discount is checked against the billing address of the card you pay with, so a Harrow resident paying with a card registered elsewhere risks having the tickets cancelled. Proof of address may be asked for on the night.
City Hall says the event is not suitable for young children and strongly recommends not bringing them. Under 16s must be with an adult, and everyone, whatever their age, needs a ticket.
Which area, and how to get there from Harrow
There are six viewing areas, each with its own gate, and you cannot move between them on the night. Every area opens from 8pm and closes to new arrivals at 10.30pm.
| Area | Where | Station City Hall recommends | Gate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue | Victoria Embankment, Westminster Bridge to Golden Jubilee Footbridge, head-on to the London Eye | Victoria, Charing Cross or Embankment | 1 or 2 |
| Red | Victoria Embankment, Golden Jubilee Footbridge to Temple Avenue | Holborn or Blackfriars | 4 or 5 |
| Pink | Waterloo Bridge only | Southwark | 6 |
| Green | Behind the London Eye | Waterloo | 7 |
| White | Westminster Bridge only | Waterloo | 8 |
| Orange (accessible) | Albert Embankment, by St Thomas’ Hospital | Waterloo | 9 |
From Harrow, the Bakerloo line from Harrow and Wealdstone runs straight through to Charing Cross and Embankment, the stations City Hall recommends for the blue area, and on to Waterloo, the one for the green, white and orange areas, with no change of train (TfL Bakerloo line route). Our Harrow train times to London page has the other routes into town. City Hall warns that transport on the night will be much busier than usual and that you may have to walk up to 2km between your viewing area and public transport.
The orange area is the accessible one, with seating, a hearing loop and access from a vehicle drop-off point. The other five are on closed roads with step-free movement but no seating, and you cannot bring your own.
Getting home. TfL had not published its New Year’s Eve service plan when this page was written on 28 October. We will add the late and overnight services for Harrow’s lines when it does, and the Christmas engineering works are on our Christmas travel page.
What is open in Harrow on 31 December
- Heath Robinson Museum, 50 West End Lane, Pinner. The museum opens Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, and lists Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day as its only closures, so Thursday 31 December is a normal opening day. Its new exhibition, The Genie and Other Stories, runs to 7 March 2027 (Heath Robinson Museum).
- A Peek Through the Looking Glass, Penny Goodbrand’s floral paintings in the Greenhill Art Pod, Harrow town centre, HA1 1LE, free and viewable 24 hours a day from 9 December to 5 January (Harrow Arts Centre).
- Headstone Manor is on winter hours, Thursday and Friday 10am to 3pm, with its free Twinkle Trail running to 3 January (Headstone Manor, Twinkle Trail). It has not yet published its Christmas and New Year closure dates, so check before setting off; our winter opening times page will carry them.
Harrow Borough’s first match of 2027 is at home to Hayes and Yeading United at Earlsmead on Saturday 2 January, 3pm (Harrow Borough FC).
Fireworks at home
New Year’s Eve is one of the nights when the usual 11pm fireworks curfew moves: fireworks can be set off until 1am, as on Diwali and Chinese New Year. That is how Harrow Town Centre BID set out the rules during the council’s 2025 enforcement campaign (We Are Harrow).
Still to be confirmed
- The second batch of Thames tickets, with a release date City Hall says it will post on its event page.
- TfL’s New Year’s Eve service plan, including late trains on the Bakerloo, Metropolitan and Jubilee lines.
- Any New Year’s Eve event in Harrow itself. If a venue, pub or community group lists one, we will add it here. Organisers can email hello@harrowtoday.co.uk.
For the rest of the season, see the Harrow pantomime, the Christmas markets, Santa’s grotto and what’s on in Harrow this month. Parking charges are on parking in Harrow and closures on Harrow roadworks and travel.
